Where do I go for my lesson?

I teach from my home in Totton, Southampton.  There are also a limited number of spaces available to students of Abbotswood Junior School held before school on the premises.

What do I need to start piano lessons?

At home, a piano to practice on! If you need help in choosing the right piano for you, I am happy to assist.

in your lesson, please bring a notebook and your music. 

The music book you need will be assessed when you start lessons.

How much should I practice in a week?

Every day! A common suggestion is to practice at least the length of your lesson every day for the best results and to progress steadily.

How old do I have to be to learn the Piano?

I take on children from 7yrs+ and adults of any age!

How long is a lesson?

Lessons are usually 30 minutes but can be up to an hour depending on the needs of student.

How long will it take me to learn the piano?

Every student learns and understands at a different pace. Some online courses promise results overnight but to be able to understand music, this isn't realistic. To attain true results, dedication and practice will give you a solid foundation and the ability to take on increasingly complicated pieces in the future.
